Gardens and mosaics of the Feuilleraie

A unique artistic garden

The Rose and Blue Gardens offer much more than a simple floral display. Their originality lies in a mosaic decor , made with various materials such as Italian glass pastes, Briare enamels and porcelain stoneware .

These mosaics, dreamed of for several decades, began to be created in the early 1980s . After twenty years of meticulous work, the ensemble was registered as a 20th-century National Heritage site , testifying to unique craftsmanship and exceptional artistic vision.

The Pink Garden

Located in the center of the courtyard in front of the house, the Rose Garden is an ode to color and visual poetry. It showcases several mosaic creations:

• The terrace with morning glories
• The staircase adorned with the Cycle of the Seasons
• Narrative wall panels , such as The Harvest , The Shepherdess and Her Kid , The Miller's Wife and Her Donkey , or Encounter
• Animal sculptures , such as The Family of White Cats and A Genet on a Four-Meter Wall

Among the notable elements, we also find distant inspirations with The Hindu Dancer (Kathak) and The Rajah's Palace , while abstract works like The Lotus Nebula and Escape invite contemplation.

The Blue Garden

Dominated by a palette of cool and soothing tones, the Blue Garden is centered around a lily pond . It features:

• The ballet of the seahorses , a fascinating aquatic composition
• A bed of lilies , bringing brightness and freshness
• A sundial , entitled Time, Pilgrim of Eternity , where the present stands out between the past and the future
• A central rosette , a captivating graphic element
• The Cat That Came Down from the Sky , an intriguing work

Other unique creations, such as Mystère , Les vanneaux or a Chinese calligraphy representing the Chi , add to the symbolic richness of the garden.

A visit combining art and nature

Allow at least half an hour to explore the area, but visitors can stroll at their own pace and enjoy the surroundings for as long as they like. It's even possible to bring a picnic for a break amidst this enchanting landscape.

The Gardens of the Leaf Garden are an immersion into a world where nature dialogues with art, offering a unique experience between dream and reality.
