The Doulce Terrasse Restaurant and Tea Room welcomes you in an exceptional setting: built in the 18th century, the pavilion that houses it is located at the entrance to the site, before the ticket office.

La Doulce Terrasse offers seasonal cuisine inspired by the château's kitchen garden. The entire menu features regional produce paired with Loire Valley wines, creating a convivial atmosphere in a prime location at the château's entrance! You can also choose from our à la carte menu: "garden open-faced sandwiches," tasting platters, homemade tarts, or artisanal ice cream. The restaurant also offers a children's menu and a baby menu. La Doulce Terrasse , the Château de Villandry's restaurant, is selected by the Michelin Green Guide.

Takeaway: Located at the entrance to the site, just before the ticket office, the Doulce Terrasse kiosk offers traditional and original sandwiches, crepes and hot or cold drinks, as well as a wide range of artisanal ice creams with surprising fruit and flower flavors!

Villandry

Villandry is a Renaissance château nestled within four levels of terraced gardens. It is the last of the great Renaissance châteaux built along the banks of the Loire. Remarkable for the harmony of its architecture, the site is best known for its gardens, spread across four levels, which combine aesthetics, diversity, and harmony: the decorative kitchen garden blends flowers and vegetables; the ornamental gardens are planted with tall boxwood hedges and flowers; the water garden is serene and uncluttered; the herb garden brings together medicinal and culinary plants; the hornbeam maze delights children; and finally, the sun garden offers a magnificent display of flowers from May to October.

The château, which was remodeled in the 18th century, has been fully restored. It is a welcoming and family-friendly place where each room evokes a different era through its furnishings and carefully chosen decor.
