Description
Chateau d’Aubigny includes:
an 18th century residence, its outbuildings, a garden (1 ha), forests and woods of 200 ha.
Each of these elements lends itself to a variety of distinctive and memorable photo and video shoots. In particular, the formal French garden (1 hectare), enclosed by old walls and adorned with majestic yew trees, offers extremely diverse filming possibilities. Full of charm and mystery, the house overlooks this garden, a square courtyard, and the “precious garden,” thus presenting original and varied views.
The main house, Chateau d’Aubigny, comprises about fifteen rooms, including two living rooms (64 and 35 sq m), a dining room (80 sq m), a spacious entrance hall, and an authentic central staircase.
The estate’s woods, meadows, fields, and pond open onto the vast horizons typical of the Lorraine, Luxembourg, German, and Belgian landscapes, with views of the city of Metz remarkable for their natural beauty.
Aubigny was the scene of major historical events, notably during the siege of Metz in 1870. Foch, Lyautey, and de Gaulle all stayed there. The winds of history still blow through this place, as evidenced by the large number of visitors who flock there every year during European Heritage Days.
