Ch\u00e2teau Saint Hugues<\/strong> remarkably preserves its square Romanesque keep<\/strong> , dating from the 10th and 11th centuries, which rises to a height of 22 meters. The site also features two round defensive towers<\/strong> with their well-preserved arrow slits. A building constructed in 1780 houses former cells, adding a further historical dimension to the visit.<\/p>\n

The visit will allow you to explore all the buildings of the castle and access a breathtaking view of the town, formerly a stronghold, as well as the valley below.<\/p>\n

Nearby, don't miss the Romanesque collegiate church of Saint Hilaire<\/strong> , built in the 12th century, another remarkable example of the Romanesque styles of the Brionnais region and the Abbey of Cluny.
