Ranrou\u00ebt Castle<\/strong> Cultural Visits<\/strong><\/p>\n

Discover the Ch\u00e2teau de Ranrou\u00ebt<\/strong> , a place rich in history that immerses you in the medieval atmosphere through guided tours, activities and shows.<\/p>\n

The monument remarkably preserves its square Romanesque keep (from the 10th and 11th centuries) which is 22 meters high.<\/p>\n

At the front, the two round defensive towers still have their arrow slits. In front of them stands a building constructed in 1780 to house cells. All of these buildings together make up the castle tour.<\/p>\n

Ranrou\u00ebt Castle<\/strong> offers an immersive experience in medieval history with tours and activities suitable for all ages.<\/p>\n

Summer programs (July-August):<\/h4>\n

      \n
    • The castle through the centuries<\/em> : every day at 3pm (except Wednesday).<\/li>\n
    • Daily life in the Middle Ages<\/em> : Wednesdays at 4 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Children's shows<\/strong> : every Monday at 5pm, from age 6 (reservation required, limited places).<\/li>\n
    • Interactive tour for children<\/strong> :\n

      • Treasure hunt with Pelagie<\/em> (Wednesdays at 11am, except July 6 and August 31) for 3-6 year olds.<\/li>\n
      • Little Knights<\/em> (Thursdays at 11am, except July 7th) for 5-8 year olds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Yorick Night Tour<\/strong> , Hunter of Wonders<\/em> : Mondays and Thursdays at 9:30 p.m., from July 18 to August 22.<\/li>\n

          Outside of the summer season, the castle can be explored independently thanks to a discovery trail and an activity booklet for children (from 4 years old).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

          Ranrou\u00ebt Castle<\/strong> is open at varying times depending on the season:<\/p>\n

          • April, May and September<\/strong> : Tuesday to Sunday, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (closed on Mondays and May 1st).<\/li>\n
          • June, Easter and All Saints' school holidays<\/strong> : Tuesday to Friday, from 10am to 12pm and from 2:30pm to 6:30pm, as well as on weekends from 2:30pm to 6:30pm (closed on Mondays).<\/li>\n
          • July and August<\/strong> : every day from 10am to 7pm.<\/li>\n
          • Open all year round<\/strong> by reservation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
