Today, it houses the exceptional collections of the National Museum of the Renaissance, providing them with a truly exceptional setting.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"828\" data-end=\"975\"> The castle allows you to explore a place rich in history, where prestigious owners of the most illustrious House of France, the Montmorency family, mingle.<\/p>\n<p> Owned by a great Renaissance nobleman, Anne de Montmorency, Constable, Duke and Peer of France, Marshal and then Grand Master of France, it served five kings. This extremely powerful man, who symbolized the French Renaissance, was a close friend of Kings Francis I and Henry II. The Ch\u00e2teau d&#39;\u00c9couen is not just any residence: its very stones bear witness to the ambitions and successes of a powerful man who was also a patron of the arts and a passionate aesthete of art and heritage, with fascinating collections devoted to the Renaissance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"331\" data-end=\"357\"> <strong data-start=\"331\" data-end=\"355\">Visiting hours:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"358\" data-end=\"540\">\n<li data-start=\"358\" data-end=\"397\"> Every day <strong><u>except<\/u> Tuesday<\/strong> , January 1st and December 25th.
