Jumilhac, gardens inspired by the alchemical quest<\/h3>\n

The terraced gardens<\/strong> that embellish the southern facade of the Ch\u00e2teau de Jumilhac have been renovated around two themes emblematic of local culture: Gold and Alchemy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In keeping with the tradition of French formal gardens<\/strong>, these spaces symbolically evoke the quest for knowledge and the understanding of the mysteries of the universe<\/strong>, as interpreted by alchemists. Through a carefully considered floral and plant arrangement<\/strong>, each detail reveals a facet of this ancient art. <\/p>\n

Water<\/strong>, a fundamental element of alchemical transformation and a symbol of life and purity<\/strong>, rises in the form of an obelisk of silver droplets,<\/strong> creating a link between Earth and clear cerulean sky<\/strong>, between the material and the spiritual.<\/p>\n

The castle and its gardens are open all year round<\/strong>, according to the following schedule:<\/p>\n

  • From June 1st to September 30th:<\/strong> every day from 10am to 7pm, late opening on Tuesdays from 9:30pm to 11:30pm (+ Thursdays in July and August).<\/li>\n
  • From srping break to May 31st and from October 1st to All Saints’ Day break:<\/strong> every day from 2pm to 6pm.<\/li>\n
  • From All Saints’ Day break to spring break:<\/strong> Sundays from 2pm to 5pm.<\/li>\n
  • Visits agreed beforehand are possible all year round.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Prices \u2013 castle + gardens:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Individual adult tickets<\/strong>: 10.50 euros<\/li>\n
    • Reduced price (students up to 25 years old, seniors):<\/strong> 8.50 euros<\/li>\n

    • Adult Groups<\/strong>: 8.50 euros<\/li>\n
