Jumilhac Castle<\/strong> invites you to discover its history and majesty through guided tours and self-guided walks. This medieval castle, enriched with Renaissance elements, offers a glimpse into the fascinating past of the Marquis de Jumilhac<\/strong> family, famous for their role as lieutenant-generals in the king’s armies during the 17th and 18th centuries. <\/p>\n

The Ch\u00e2teau de Jumilhac<\/strong>, dating from the 13th and 15th centuries, is distinguished by its unique architecture, combining medieval style with touches of the Renaissance. Its enchanting roofs, adorned with allegorical ridge tiles, give the castle a majestic appearance, while its Renaissance windows soften its defensive features such as the watchtowers, the rampart walk, or the keep. <\/p>\n

The castle was long the residence of the Marquises of Jumilhac<\/strong>, and several of its rooms reflect the evolution of the nobility through the centuries. Highlights of the visit include: <\/p>\n
